Strawberry Ice Cream (non dairy, sugar free)

Here's a super simple summer treat for the kids (or adults!) and it's dairy free, sugar free and primal/paleo. No ice cream maker needed.

Strawberry Ice Cream

1 banana, sliced and frozen
1 handful of strawberries, frozen
1-2 tablespoons coconut milk
1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Place the frozen bananas and strawberries into a food processor. Start blending then add in the vanilla and coconut milk. Just enough for it to blend together but not too much, we want it to be really thick! Once it is nice and smooth but still very thick scoop it out and enjoy! It needs to be eaten right away as it will not keep very well in the freezer. Makes 2-3 servings.

  13. We tried it tonight and it was very tasty. Thanks! We added more coconut milk to make it into shakes instead of thicker ice cream.

  14. I just made this tonight and absolutely loved it! Found your blog through Pinterest and though I'm not really willing to commit to the primal lifestyle, I am trying to eat healthier, cheaper, and reduce my sugar intake. This ice cream was really good, easy to make, and made from stuff I usually have at home. My boyfriend doesn't like banana and tried it and wasn't a big fan...do you think anything else can be substituted for the banana and still make ice cream of about the same consistency?

  15. Has anyone tried this with Almond milk instead of Coconut milk? We usually keep almond milk around the house more often than coconut milk.

  18. This looks amazing! Will be trying this recipe this weekend!! One note though, don't say it is 'sugar-free' because it isn't! There is 'no sugar added'!!! Big difference!! I know those who are watching sugar intake will know strawberries and bananas have natural sugars in them.....but some may not know the difference! :)

  20. hiii... We gave this a try and it was yummy!!! I didn't think my 2-year old would like it cause of the coconut milk (she never really tried it before) But to my surprise, she loved it! I've been making them ever since our first time! Thanks for sharing :)

  24. I also would like to know if you used canned coconut milk or the half gallon sized coconut milk they sell next to almond and soy milk in the grocery store?? Thank you

Could it be only me or does it look like like some of these
responses come across like they are written by brain dead people?
:-P And, if you are writing on other sites, I'd like to keep up with you. Could you list every one of all your communal pages like your Facebook page, twitter feed, or linkedin profile?
