I've been doing primal for about 2 months now. The first month I did great! I didn't cheat. I didn't even eat fruit and I lost 9 lbs. The second month has been not so good...
It started with me getting busy and ordering gluten free pizza for dinner. Do you know how hard it is to cook healthy dinners with a 4 year old, a 2 year old, a 3 month old and a husband who works evenings? But I shouldn't be making excuses. I ended up ordering pizza several times. And then pizza with cookies. That led to digging out the forgotten flour and sugar in our pantry and baking cookies.
Needless to say I have stopped losing weight, my stomach hurts and I feel really lazy. I haven't been eating anywhere near what I used to eat in sugar and grains but it's still way to much.
Today I am rededicating myself to stay away from sugar and grains for another full 30 days. No gluten free pizza. No coconut flour pancakes or sunny pumpkin cookies. Nothing that resembles a treat. They're a slippery slope and I'm not yet ready to handle any cheats. I need to re-learn healthy habits before I can do that.
